Custom moulding
Excelsior are one of the UK's leading and most well established rotational moulders, and are working alongside several blue chip companies to take their ideas from concept to reality. We have the technical knowledge and ability to advise on each and every aspect of the design and production process, and much of our work is based on word of mouth recommendations from satisfied customers who appreciate the many advantages that rotational moulding has to offer, and the vast experience that we have to offer.
Because we have our own in-house computer aided design department and tool making facilities, unlike some of our competitors we are able to offer the full rotational moulding package all under one roof - giving customers complete peace of mind that nothing is being out sourced.
We have manufactured the simplest containers right through to the most complex moulding's that require high levels of expertise and detail such as fuel tanks, missile cases and point of display stands.
Some of the advantages that we can offer are as follows:
- Rotational moulding offers seam and stress free products with a uniform wall thickness.
- Rotational moulding is ideally suited to small and medium batch quantities, or even the production of prototypes. Injection moulded tools are far more expensive so often customers prefer to see their product rotationally moulded via a sheet steel or cast aluminium tool, even if they are intending to put down an injection moulded tool once they are happy with the product.
- Rotational moulding is ideal for the manufacture of hollow parts such as containers, tanks and flotation devices.
- Rotational moulding offers the possibility of multi part products within one moulding.
- We offer a full 3D CAD modelling service, together with state of the art moulding machinery.
- We are able to manufacture from recycled or recyclable material to meet environmental criteria.

Bristol based Epoch Design approached us with a project that they were working on for one of the world's leading golf club and equipment manufacturers.
The product is a golf trolley that is to be used solely for customers trying new clubs on driving ranges. Sleek and modern, it is extremely functional, highly manoeuvrable and has individual slots in the top of the case for irons and woods.
Jim Parry, Chief Designer at Epoch said "With such a high profile customer it was extremely important that we found a company who could incorporate our design into a unique yet functional product. I felt that Excelsior achieved that and their service levels have always been first class."
