Meeting Winter Demand: 3,000 Grit Bins Produced in One Month

Being a grit bin manufacturer, we were obviously delighted to see the snow falling in early January throughout most of the UK.

Many customers plan for this eventuality, but it’s not always possible to do so. Some customers have little or no storage space, so we need to be able to react quickly for them when the bad weather hits.

Through a combination of clever machine planning and extra capacity we managed to produce and ship just over 3000 bins in January alone. We are also working through orders for several thousand more as quickly as we can, with continued cold weather predicted it’s imperative that we meet our customers deadlines.

Furthermore, we are already thinking ahead to the next season and have placed orders for additional tools for our most popular bins. This means that for the 2026 season we will be in better shape than ever to hit lead times, increase our stock holding and enable our customers to increase their sales.
