Our Sales Office Manager, Valerie Filkin, has just completed 20 years’ service with Excelsior, so we thought that it was only appropriate to shout about her achievement!
Valerie’s Commitment and Dedication to Excelsior
Our MD Giles remembers interviewing Valerie for the job all those years ago and commented “We needed someone who was really customer focussed and who would fit into the team that we were shaping for the future. Valerie had a lot of customer knowledge and experience from her time in the print industry and, being such a lovely, calm person, we quickly realised that we had struck gold!
It is fair to say that Valerie is completely committed to the company and to our customers, always selfless and reliable and always goes the extra mile. She has been an absolute pleasure to work with and I count her as a friend, which is often how things work in a close knit, family run business like ours. I look forward to many more years working together.”

Valerie commented that “I remember at my interview I said to Giles “I am worth it” a bit cheeky but it worked I got the Job and I started work at Excelsior 4th October 2004 with no experience in the Roto Moulding Industry but I was excited and ready for a change in my career.
I can honestly say it was the best move ever, I loved it from day one and still love it today. The time has flown by with many changes along the way, along with the colour of my hair dye!
I love that we are a small team, as we are always busy, we are like a family, have our good days along with the hard ones, but we get through it.
Each day is different for me in sales as it depends on the orders that come in and I remember being pleased when we got an order for £1000.00, and I still get very excited when we get large orders, but every order is a great order no matter how large or small.”
