Polyethylene Grades
Low Density (LDPE)
LDPE is the most flexible, least rigid polyethylene, with good impact, stress cracking and low temperature performance. It is also very resistant to attack by certain chemicals. For further information about the use of polyethylene with chemicals please contact us.
Medium Density (MDPE)
MDPE is a more rigid material than LDPE with good impact, stress cracking and low temperature performance. We find it to be the ideal solution for our own materials handling products, some of which are used and abused indoors and outdoors 365 days of the year. It is extremely rare for this material to crack unless the product has been abused or used incorrectly.
High Density (HDPE)
HDPE is the most rigid material, and we generally recommend this for products such as large water tanks, fuel tanks and similar products requiring increased stiffness and impact resistance.
